“The audience can look forward to wonderful melodies and legendary arrangements, as well as distinctive and, in some cases, archaic rhythms. Added to this is the use of classical, folk and ethnic sounds and stylistic elements, coupled with a particular flair for blending electronic sounds with orchestral and acoustic arrangements. All this makes the ‘Human Symphony’ a true sonic epic that absolutely belongs on stage as a live show one day! Music that is a treat for the ears and also boasts plenty of emotional depth and complexity. Steiner’s affinity for film music and folklore is well known among his connoisseurs. The sounds and melodies he creates here are breathtaking and truly cinematic! One could also describe “Human Symphony” as a “soundtrack to life”, if you will, which comes across as absolutely Oscar-worthy even after just one listen. Compositionally, Steiner is at the zenith of his career and on a par with the great masters of film music such as Vangelis, John Williams, Hans Zimmer and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Yet he always keeps his own unique and charismatic style firmly in mind. The production is also first-rate, and the listener is literally pushed back into the seats of their own mental cinema by the sound. A wide range of emotions are evoked and amplified in the process. One experiences a stylistically rich array ranging from colossal sonic storms to danceable, pop-rock and, in parts, musical-like elements, which skilfully alternate with quieter, thoroughly subtle, ethereal and balladic melodies and sounds, harmonising magnificently with one another. The whole is accompanied and underscored in places by impressive choral passages and unique, at times mystical-sounding female voices.”
